WKC World Championships 2011
This year saw 18 students travel to Spain in order to compete at the above championships.
After a hard fought week they came home with 6 World Champions, 4 Silver medals and 9 Bronze medals.

Clash of the Titans
The 24th Clash of the Titans is to be held on Sat 12th Nov 11 in Huddersfield.
Mike Eade and Elliot Moore have both been selected to fight for the Warriors with
more NWCKB fighters yet to be selected.

Saturday 10th Sept 2011 saw novice fighters from across the association

Kids Brown Belt Grading
Friday 27th May saw 4 of our bright young stars take their Brown Belt Grading.
The pressure was on as instructors Amy Hulme and Sue Cox were joined by other black belts to
oversee everything.

WAKO National Championships
On the weekend of 26 & 27 Feb 2011 Rick Allsop took at total of 18 North West Chinese KickBoxing fighters to the WAKO National
Championships. A couple of long days were rewarded with a total of 16 medals including 4 Gold, 2 Silver and 10 Bronze.

New Mills News

| Chris Boughey receives 7th Degree Black Belt
Chief Instructor and Founder of NWCKB , ChrisBoughey was awarded his 7th Degree Black Belt
at the World Kickboxing Championships in Portugal in October2010.
This special honour was awarded by Professor Peter Lewis World President of The World
Kickboxing Council in recognition of all the hard work and commitment Chris displays as
England Team Coach- a role he has undertaken for over 13 World Championships.

The 7th Degree was awarded at the opening ceremony of this year’s World Kickboxing
Championships in front of all the participating teams.

The NWCKB team at the 2010 WKC World Championships had another successful year.
This year 14 fighters went and they will be bringing home a total of 13 medals,
including 1 Gold, 5 Silver, and 7 Bronze.

Genesis Charity
Chris Boughey has volunteered his services for the GENESIS charity. In his Kicking out
at Breast Cancer campaign Chris will deliver a course to any club, anywhere free of charge.
All he asks is a donation to the GENESIS charity.

Championships this year. He currently holds 3 world silver and 2 world bronze medals.

NWCKB World Champion Elliot Moore, a student at Marple and Cheadle Sixth Form College
featured in their monthly magazine 'Aspire' Thanks to Elliot, NWCKB now has a class running
at both the Marple and Cheadle campus offering the students free taster sessions in Chinese
Kickboxing in conjunction with Stockport Sports Trust.
